about important changes to tax for 2014 and including how
you can lodge your return.

Dust off those receipts you’ve been saving for the past year.
Remember you can only claim so many expenses without
evidence.

Check if you are eligible for Tax-Help – did you earn $50,000
or less and have a simple tax return? Speak to a USQ Welfare
Officer if you are unsure.

Be prepared. Start organising the paperwork you will need for
your appointment – Tax File Number, BSB and Account details,
previous Notice of Assessment and any payment summaries
you receive.
Start thinking about how you will spend your tax
refund. It might be a good time to sit down and
revise your budget. Your USQ Welfare Officer
can help with this and give you advice and tips
on how to make your money go further.
