After Hours E T E L H T A E USQ ELIT EDEN T A K C JA Following a knee reconstruction in 2013, Eden Jackat returned to hockey in 2016 and has excelled in the sport. At the end of Semester 1, Eden joined thirteen other USQ students in the Womens Hockey team at the Northern University Games. The team went undefeated to become the Northern University Champions at the Sunshine Coast competition. Eden continued on to attend the Australian University Games in September, located in Perth. The USQ Womens Hockey team lost only one match the entire competition, placing 5th overall in the competition against every other university in Australia. Eden, along with four other USQ students, was selected in the Australian UniGames ‘Green and Gold’ team. Selection in this merit side recognises Eden as one of the best student athletes competing at the Australian University Games for her sport. In addition to all of this, Eden still manages full-time study in Paramedicine at the USQ Ipswich campus as well as part-time work. We look forward to seeing what Eden achieves on and off the field for the remainder of her time at USQ. Find more information about USQ Elite Athletes 37
