T hese are just some of the journeys recent USQ graduates Mir Wahid, Mazhar and Hamid have made to earn their degrees and attend their graduation ceremony. ‘We live in Sydney but really wanted to see our university’s main campus, so we decided to drive up for graduation,’ Mir Wahid said. ‘Now we are here, we cannot believe how peaceful and beautiful it is.’ ‘We also wanted to see and experience the culture of a different state — people in Sydney are so busy but here in Queensland everyone is friendly and nice.’ These dedicated students have worked hard and made many sacrifices to reach their study goals, including Mir Wahid and Mazhar moving from India and Hamid moving from Pakistan to study at USQ. They also had jobs while completing their studies online and at the Sydney Education Centre, a
