USQ student Bec defines
herself as many things:
a hippy, a nerd, a human rights
activist, a dork, a terrible dancer,
a sci-fi tragic, a Mum, a wife, a vegan.
She is also an inspiration.
Bec’s study tips:
• We all have moments where we
struggle to believe in ourselves, but
I guarantee there is always at least
one other person who does. When
you feel like giving up, think of this
person and keep going.
• Remind yourself about why you’re
studying. Bec looks at her sons and
reads news articles about Syria,
Gaza, Ukraine and Afghanistan,
and knows she can’t quit.
• Be upfront and honest with your
lecturers. Whenever I have felt
stressed, confused or have wanted
to give up, my lecturers have given
me encouragement and tips on
how to keep going.
