Lil Mama is taking what is already trending and putting a customized twist that is uniquely her own.

Lead hairstylist for the film Shunika Terry, recently told Essence.com, "it was a challenge to recreate TLC's eclectic styles, but it was a lot of fun, too".

"I would keep the ‘90s music blasting on set and if we had to do the sequence for the video I’d put my laptop on and we’d just play the videos over and over," says Terry. "The music really helped us get in the mood for everything. It was a trip down memory lane."

On Lil Mama look she said, "Thankfully Lil’ Mama’s hair is the same length as Left Eye’s hair," says Terry. "Lil’Mama was blonde before we started shooting, so I colored her hair to a medium brown, cut her bangs and just shaped up her hair to exactly how Left Eye’s hair was. For some of the more creative styles, I actually would go to Michael’s Craft Store and get Styrofoam and wire pieces to sculpt and create those crazy looks."

Did you watch the TLC Movie? It was really good. I loved reminiscing and hearing songs that bring you back to what was good. Girl Power music is hard to find these days.

It is safe to say that Lil Mama had many hair and styling flaws over the years. It is quite fine because when
