The Winners We were delighted to find out that Faye and Tanitia’s video was chosen as one of the two overall winners of the competition. This was a huge achievement as the competition was open to schools across the country. The judges said that they really enjoyed watching the videos and that they were really impressed with the standard of the entries. Cat Cooper said, ‘We loved the creativity, originality and ideas that went into the video and thought the girls did a brilliant job’. Tanitia and Faye’s prize was an invitation to the Carnegie awards ceremony that was held at the British Library on 20th June. Shannon, Lydia and Abigail were also invited to the ceremony in recognition of their fantastic video about 'One'. Attending the ceremony meant that the students were some of the first people in the country to find out which book had won the Carnegie medal 2016! Nearly all of the shortlisted authors were at the event and the students had to opportunity to meet them and get autographs and have pictures taken with the authors who inspired their videos. The students were delighted when the author of their overall favourite book, ‘One’ was announced as the winner of the C
