COMMUNITY IMPACT
AND ENRICHMENT
Community care comes first. Our partnerships, community outreach, educational programs
and the efforts of our graduates improve the health and well-being of citizens in Ohio and in
communities across the nation, especially where care is needed most.
Goal 1:  Enhance current community health programs and cultivate new initiatives to meet
needs identified by partnering communities.
Goal 2:  Use Community Health Programs as a platform for new and additional transformative
learning activities and for collaborative research and scholarly activity.
Goal 3:  Build our partnerships to improve access to high-quality, low-cost primary care and
community-focused health care for the communities we serve.
Goal 4:  Explore opportunities and develop a plan with key stakeholders for targeted
placement of primary care practitioners in the highest-need areas of Ohio.
Goal 5:  Leverage the activities of the Heritage College to the shared benefit of the university,
partners and others.
