COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH
AND SCHOLARLY ACTIVITY
Discovery drives medical advances. Our research is stronger when we work together on diverse
teams within our college, alongside our communities and with our partners. Excellence in
our research programs ultimately leads to improved health and quality of life for vulnerable
populations in our state and throughout the nation and the world.
Goal 1:  Build on our research and scholarship strengths through partnering, collaboration and
innovation to advance medical knowledge and health care delivery.
Goal 2:  Enhance and strengthen research infrastructure in collaboration with key partners
within and external to Ohio University.
Goal 3:  Validate the efficacy and value of osteopathic principles and practices by creating an
Osteopathic Research Initiative.
Goal 4: Become a nationally recognized institution for primary care research and knowledge.
