Valedictorian : Kate Taylor
The valedictorian for Cumby Collegiate High School , with a GPA of 4.1160 , is Kate Taylor . Kate is an active member of the National FFA organization where she serves as the chapter vice-president ; she has also competed in numerous livestock shows , as well as LDE and CDE contests . One of her many accomplishments as a member of this organization is receiving her Lone Star Degree , the highest degree of membership a state FFA organization can award . Kate is a member of the National Honor Society , Senior Beta , and has recently earned her TSFA Level 1 Floral Certification . She will be receiving an Associate ’ s Degree from Paris Junior College on May 10th . After graduation , Kate plans to attend Texas A & M University – Commerce to earn a degree in Animal Science / Pre Vet . Kate is the daughter of Mitchell and Gabrielle Taylor of Cumby .
Salutatorian : Mallory Wheat
Mallory Wheat is the salutatorian of Cumby Collegiate High School , with a GPA of 4.1153 . Mallory is a member of the National Honor Society , where she serves as chapter treasurer . She is also a member of the Hopkins County Leadership Class , the Superintendent ’ s Advisory Committee , Senior Beta , One Act Play , and is on the yearbook staff , where she has served as the editor for three years . Mallory is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Paris Junior College , and will graduate on May 10th with an Associate ’ s Degree and her Nurse Aide certification . Mallory will attend Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls , where she has been accepted into the Redwine Honors Program to study Radiologic Technology . Her career goal is to be a certified ultrasound technician . Mallory is the daughter of Jeff and Robin Wheat of Cumby .
