SCOUTING REPORT LONE OAK BUFFALOES
However, another area to watch this season for Bowman will be his potential contribution on the offensive side of the ball. Bowman backed up senior quarterback Slayde Parnell last season and could look to step into the starting role this year.
Veteran lineman Colton Baker will also be returning to the team for his senior season on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.
Allen Aguilar and Mateo Valdez will also be two rising seniors on the defensive line that Turner is looking to see take a leap in their ability this year.
Peyton Jackson had 87 tackles in 2025 as a member of the team’ s linebacking core and will need to continue to be a force on that unit coming into this year.
Key areas for the team to develop this season will be the wide receiving core and defensive backs as the team in 2025 was very senior heavy in those areas.
Turner is looking for his players this season to not only be outstanding athletes on the field but leaders in Lone Oak.
“ I ask the guys what do you pray for?” Turner said.“ Do you pray to be blessed or do you pray to be a blessing? You have an opportunity to impact those around you everyday.”
The team enters the season looking to make the playoffs for the third consecutive year.
