The Panthers will have to replace most of the offensive line that graduated last season along with linebacker Austin States, who led the Panthers with 137 tackles to earn top postseason honors.
Wallace said he expects the Panthers to“ compete for a district championship.”
Last year they tied for second place in District 6-4A-II with Canton at 3-2. Sunnyvale was first at 5-0 and advanced three rounds in the playoffs.
Wallace said Sunnyvale“ is clearly the top team” to watch in District 6-4A-II this season and that the numbers two through five“ will all be competitive.”
What will the Panthers need to be successful?
“ Young offensive line must develop,” said Wallace.“ Defensive ends, outside linebackers and secondary must be dominant.”
