That’ ll be the goal for the 2025 Royse City Bulldogs as they compete again in one of the tougher Class 6A districts in the state: 10-6A.
Last year the Bulldogs went 0-6 in District 10-6A field to trail the field: 6-0 Longview, 5-1 North Forney, 3-3 Rockwall, 3-3 Forney, 2-4 Tyler Legacy and 2-4 Rockwall-Heath.
Dave Campbell’ s Texas Football Magazine picked the Bulldogs to finish seventh again behind Longview, Rockwall, North Forney, Heath, Forney and Tyler Legacy.
Second-year head coach Drew Colvin will be working with six returning starters on offense and four on defense look to pick up the pace in 2025. The Bulldogs, who are in a district loaded with some talented players on offense, averaged 19 points per game on offense while Longview averaged 35.5, North Forney averaged 38.7 and Rockwall averaged 46.3,
Colvin was the offensive coordinator on a Rockwall team that averaged 51.8 points per game in 2023.
He and his staff will be working with returning senior quarterback Jamion Richardson, who passed for 1,125 yards and 12 touchdowns last season and rushed for 298 yards and five scores.
Peyton Peoples, who earned all-state honors as a pitcher for the Bulldogs, threw for 452 yards and two TDs last season.
