Through the eyes of LORI SCHIEWEK: “What have I done!” This was my initial thought after I applied to be a speaker at HER VOICE in Pasco. Ministry and speaking had always been geared toward youth ministry. I LOVE students and had the opportunity to speak to them many times. But adults...NEVER! Even though I am an adult, they scare me. Yet I knew God was calling me to branch out, and take a chance. So, I did. What an amazing experience. From the interactions with my speaking mentor, to the coaching from Kim Martinez, I gained the confidence I desperately needed. Angela’s support was just so helpful and inspired me to be who I was called to be. I also met such incredible women throughout this experience and have stayed in touch ever since. But the biggest impact, for me personally, was speaking. Telling my story and giving all the glory to God redeemed my life once again. It’s true what God’s Word says in Revelation 12:11. And they overcame him, by the blood of The Lamb and the word of their testimony....This was my experience. To be thankful to God and to be able to express that to others is an honor. I have been forever changed because of it. -Lori Schiewek My name is Lori Schiewek. I am a credentialed pastor working as a volunteer youth leader at Faith Assembly of Lacey in Lacey, Washington.
