Valentine’s Day traditionally celebrates lovers; however, to include the rising number of singles today, Estonia calls it’s Valentine’s Day “Friends’ Day”. On this day, friends and families exchange presents and celebrate together. Singles get to ride the “love bus” with other singles, who are also searching for the love of their lives. Valentine’s Day unites everyone from all over the world to celebrate love. In recent years, this holiday has extended to include not just lovers but friends and families as well. Not only do Japanese women give chocolates to the men in their lives, but also singles get to ride the love bus in Estonia. While it still stays true to its romantic origin, Valentine’s Day has gradually become a holiday that cherishes the relationships in people’s lives around the world.
