CIM: How does current and future legislation impact your business?

OS: ONIT Sciences is a “picks and shovels” play in the cannabis market. We do not touch the plant and are therefore not subject to the same regulations as growers, processors, distributors or retailers. However, since we sell into that space, our customers are impacted by regulatory issues. On the bright side, we are significantly hedged with a large percentage of our business being organic food crop production. Also, we feel that future cannabis legislation will only increase market size.

CIM: How is your business impacted by FDA regulators?

OS: We have partnered with Canna Management Group and Sensi Magazine, both leaders in their respective industries, to help promote brand awareness and provide direct access to their extensive network of cultivators and other industry heavyweights.

OS: We feel this is the real play in cannabis. The plant is destined to be used in regulated medical products. As the FDA defines regulations, cultivators will be forced to grow using organic protocols. Products like ours help maintain margins by increasing yield and health of plants.
