The word Angiography derived from theGreek words angeion, "vessel", and graphein, "to write" or "record".This method uses a technique in which the contrast material injected into punctured blood vessel and then uses an imaging technique such as X-ray to image it. Moreover, there are different types of Angiography performed today; of those the most commonly used are Coronary angiography, micro-angiography, Neuro-vascular angiography and the peripheral angiography. The main advantage of using Angiography is that you can prevent your dangerous future with the possible treatment and can live a healthy life. Angiography helps the doctor to figure out the medical problem affecting the body and can immediately start the treatment plan either the therapeutic way or with the help of the surgical option. There are some complications, which arises due to the use of Angiography, which is Bleeding or the formation of hematoma, Allergic reaction to the contrast material. Even though there are possible complications as well as the threat to the life due to those complications mention above, but the use of the angiography in medicine is an absolute help to the doctors to state their diagnosis vividly.
