Neurology is the science which deals with the Nervous System.
Neurologists are physicians, who diagnose problem of neurological
disorders and treat them. Neurologists deal with research to develop
new kind of treatment methods.
Neurosurgery is the surgical specialty which connected with the critical
care, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of the
disorders which affect any part of the nervous system including the
brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and cranial nervous system. Brain
tumors, intracranial aneurysms, subarachnoid hemorrhage, head
injuries, spinal canal stenosis, herniated discs, tumors, fractures, and
spinal deformities are some conditions which are managed by
neurosurgeons.
The life of a neurosurgeon is very interesting, but it is not that much

NEUROLOGY
For example: subarachnoid hemorrhage, severe brain injury, brain
tumors, sudden compression of the spinal cord etc. The main goals of a
neurosurgeon is to help patients to relieve unbearable pain ( for
example: headache), improve motor function, control seizures and to
eliminate tremor.
There are many subspecialties in neurosurgery. Cerebrovascular
neurosurgeons, pediatric neurosurgeons, neurosurgeons who specialize
in spinal surgery, Neurosurgeons who specialize in the field of complex
seizure disorders, neurosurgeons who specialize in functional surgery
are some of main subspecialties in neurosurgery.
Cerebrovascular neurosurgeons concern about disorders of the blood
flow to the brain. Neurosurgeons who specialize in spinal surgery deal
with disorders of spinal column and spinal cord. ( herniated discs,
scoliosis and spondylolisthesis. )Pediatric neurosurgeons deal with
neurological disorders affecting children.
