The Monaco E-Prix has firmly established itself as a star twin of the Monaco Grand Prix . The E-Prix carries on its shoulders the future of the new electric car generation just as the Grand Prix continues to thrill for all motor racing enthusiasts . The E-Prix race length is 45 minutes plus 1 lap instead of the regular Grand Prix 78 laps . And what a wonderful public appearance by the Royal Couple and their children in the Prince ’ s lodge at the race . All the more reason to celebrate with Princess Charlène accompanying Prince Albert for her first public appearance in 2022 . And Monegasques instead of cheering for Charles Leclerc ( which they did later that month ) had in the E-Prix their home team and e-stars Lucas di Grassi and Edoardo Mortara at Venturi to cheer for . ROKiT Venturi Racing was at the time lying 4th in the constructors ’ standings , with 78 points , against 94 for the leader , Mercedes-Benz EQ . Stoffel Vandoorne took the top of the podium . Mitch Evans overcame his earlier energy issues to build a two-second lead over Vergne and take a satisfying second-place finish . Jean-Eric Vergne completed the podium following his earlier stint in the lead .

On Saturday , May 7th at Stade Louis-II , the 10th edition of the Sainte Dévote Rugby Tournament was held . It is organized by the Monegasque Rugby Federation in partnership with the Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation . In the presence of T . S . H . Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène , H . S . H . Hereditary Prince Jacques and H . S . H . Princess Gabriella , this international Under 12s ( U-12 ) rugby 7s tournament welcomed 16 teams from 14 countries . During the opening ceremony , the teams presented their colours and Terence James , French singer of Scottish origin , sang the Monegasque anthem . The Monegasque team was awarded the Sainte Dévote Trophy , which honours the winner of the match between the Monegasque Rugby Federation and the Rugby Club Lucciana . H . S . H .
