It was toward the end of a unique but effective Monaco Ocean Week . International researchers and experts were emphasizing how Ocean conservation is essential to ensure us a viable future . And a significant event in professional sport to support environmental causes was being kept in the spotlight . ‘ A talk with Boris Herrmann ’, held at the Yacht Club of Monaco on Friday the 26th March 2021 , was the one-time chance to collect impressions directly from the popular German skipper of Monaco ’ s Malizia II after his extraordinary challenge at the Vendée Globe . The Vendée Globe is one of the hardest sailing competitions consisting of an unassisted solo sailing tour around the world .
