November , 19 is not just a day-off like any other in the Principality . This is the moment for its Sovereign and subjects to unite , celebrating Monaco independence . It is the Prince ’ s very special day . Though this year due to the global health crisis the Monegasques couldn ’ t come to the Palace Square en masse to demonstrate their deep patriotism towards the Princely family , the celebration of the traditional Fête Nationale de Monaco was really very compelling and just as emotional as always .
In a word despite 2020 ’ s challenges it was a Triumph . Viva Mùnegu !

MONEGASQUE RESIDENT DANIIL MEDVEDEV WINS ATP FINALS
Daniil Medvedev , Russian tennis player and Monegasque resident , claimed a
victory over the world No 3 and US Open champion Dominic Thiem and won the ATP Tour Finals on Sunday November 22 . On his way to the championship match the 24-year-old Russian had already beaten the top two players in the FedEx ATP Rankings , Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal . Daniil Medvedev did what nobody has done since 2007 , he left the top three players in the world behind in a single edition of the tournament .

Daniil Medvedev is a Monaco resident favouring the Principality with fellow like-minded star tennis players and sports celebrities . His sports career all started with his mother taking him to tennis classes as a child . At a point when tennis became predominant in his life , Daniil did two high school years externally in order to devote more time to his sports . The tennis world first heard of him in 2013 when Daniil took part in the European Championship , making his way to the finals in doubles and to the quarter finals in singles . He then debuted in the World Tour ’ s main draw in singles in May 2016 .
