BUILDING A LIBRARY OF HUMAN WISDOM
M
onaco is a unique place in the world. But in the wider public’s mind, the names
Monaco and Monte-Carlo remain synonymous with casinos, Formula One, lux-
ury yachts, and offshore tax havens. But there is so much more to Monaco than
these clichés. It’s the residents of the Principality who truly make Monaco unique:
outstanding sportsmen, businessmen and women, film stars, artists, creative en-
trepreneurs, scientists, philanthropists, art collectors and more.
We come from different countries with different cultural heritage, religions and traditions. People who
move to Monaco have a different personality and outlook on life. And we all manage to peacefully co-
exist, literally side-by-side, in 2 square kilometres of territory. It could be argued that Monaco is the
perfect prototype for countries of the future, where multi-cultural people live and create together.
Our project, «HelloMonaco: Words of Wisdom in Monaco» (WOW), will introduce you to the residents
of the Principality who have achieved much in life. We will also interview eminent guests of the Princi-
pality, visiting Monaco on tour, for a concert, or here on holiday. Each person’s experience in life is dif-
ferent, but they all have valuable lessons to share. These interviews will be an invaluable resource, vital to
our mission of building a library of human wisdom. We won’t be asking the usual questions — we will be
asking questions about life, love, wellbeing, success and more. And many answers could be life changing.
The framework of our video library is very simple: 1 question — 1 answer — 60 seconds. Our goal is
to make the WOW library easy to access and browse, so we’ve condensed the answers into bite-sized
videos. No matter where or how busy you are, it will be easy for you to get your daily dose of philosophy
and perspective.
Let me introduce the special guests of our WOW column: Executive President and General Manager of
the Star Team for the Children charity, Mauro Serra; artist Daria Usova whose collages are part of Prince
Albert II’s collection; 2-time Olympic champion and 28-time world record holder in the pole vault and
7-time world champion, Yelena Isinbaeva. They are all Monaco residents whom you can easily meet in
the Principality’s streets.

гаванью. Все это, конечно, так, но, на наш взгляд, уникальным Княжество делают
именно его жители. Кинозвезды и художники, выдающиеся спортсмены и биз-
несмены, предприниматели и ученые, филантропы и коллекционеры. Это люди
разных национальностей, вероисповеданий, с разным культурным наследием и
традициями, с разными взглядами на жизнь. Все они в буквальном смысле живут бок о бок, и им
удается мирно сосуществовать и созидать на крошечной территории размером всего в два ква-
дратных километра. Возьмем на себя смелость предположить, что Монако является в некотором
смысле прототипом государства будущего, где живут и творят люди из разных миров и культур.
Наш проект «HelloMonaco: Words of Wisdom in Monaco» (WOW) представляет жителей Княже-
ства, которые многого достигли в жизни. Мы также намерены приглашать в наш проект знаме-
нитых гостей Княжества, которые посещают Монако с концертами и турами или же приезжают
сюда отдохнуть. Им всем определенно есть чем поделиться с этим миром. Они поистине бесцен-
ный ресурс, жизненно важный для нашей миссии по созданию библиотеки мудрости, сосредо-
точившей в себе ответы на главные вопросы человеческого бытия. Мы будем говорить о цели
жизни, успехе, благополучии, деньгах и многом другом.
Формат наших видеоинтервью очень прост: один вопрос — один ответ длительностью 60 се-
кунд. Наша цель — сделать библиотеку WOW легкодоступной для просмотра и чтения, где бы
ни находились и как бы ни были заняты наши зрители и читатели.

сто можете встретить на улицах Княжества.
