Spring is all but upon us and with it comes the promise of warmer weather, enticing more of us back onto the water. For some,
however, the colder weather served as no obstacle over the festive period. The Hebe Dragons squad made their way to China,
sampling the local cuisine in Shantou, Guangdong and challenging their sailors—read more in Dragon News on page 14. Also,
check out the new Laser/Pico update—penned by Simon Blacker and Andy Duncan, fathers of two of the Dragons.
This issue contains two important messages from Commodore Mark Ashton in the Announcements section. On page 70, Mark
explains the Club’s committee structure and what you can do to help out and get more involved. Then on page 72, in case
you haven’t read it already, Mark outlines the proposed changes to the rules governing marine facility wait lists. If you have any
comments on these proposed changes make sure you send them to: [email protected] on or before 31 March 2015.
In Features, check out all the action from the Kronenbourg 1664 Kowloon Cup, the Snooker Championship, highlights from recent
cruising events and find out how to make a more successful attempt at being sustainable.
Shutterbug this issue features all the fun from the festive period, the Kowloon Cup and the UK Sailmakers’ prizegiving. That’s it until
next issue. In the meantime, enjoy The Hong Kong Sevens, Easter and the lack of typhoons!
