#HEBISD The Euless 8th grade football team won the district championship 25-0 over Smithfield Middle School on November 8! The district is made up of our five junior highs and Birdville’s seven middle schools. It is known around town as the “Big 12”. The Stallions not only made it through the season undefeated, they were never scored on by a single opponent! What’s happening around the district Thanks to everyone who participated in the annual Bicycle Extravaganza, sponsored by the Mid-Cities Optimist Club and Bicycles, Inc. We had a great turn-out, with many students, parents, P.E. teachers, administrators, and volunteers. It was a great day with plenty of activities including a bicycle stunt rider and a 1.5 mile neighborhood ride led by Team Bicycles, Inc. club rider. A group of 5th grade students from North Euless Elementary enjoyed their tour of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. This photo is at the Plexus no. 34 installation by Gabriel Dawe, which includes more than eighty miles of multicolored thread. The students saw art from various style periods and artists. At South Euless Elementary, all students and teachers have been assigned to a “color house”. Students from different grade levels paired up with their house buddies to review their data folders. They each shared mission statements, goals, and recent data. South Euless is striving to build unity and responsibility for learning with our House Data Share! We are better together! Students in Ben Herman’s 8th grade science classes at Central Junior High differentiated between endothermic and exothermic reactions. 34
