What makes you so passionate about
HEB ISD?
The reason educators do what they do -- and the
reason I chose the profession myself for over 30
years -- has everything to do with our kids and
their future. My upbringing is the “why” behind my
passion for HEB ISD and education as a whole. I
was given so many great opportunities and I am
doing my best to pay it back. When you provide
a wonderful atmosphere in school for students to
learn, you are creating our future.
Another motivation for ensuring this district and
our kids are successful is because my grandkids
are students in this district. I will use my time and
energy to make this place great and give our
students unlimited opportunities.

1982. I returned to HEB ISD in 1984 to finish out
the remaining 23 years of my career. My final post
was serving as the principal of Trinity from 1998
to 2007.
It is important to me
that all of our kids are
successful. They are our
future and I believe it is our
responsibility to prepare
them to go and do what
they are called to do.
