The HEB community recognized 33 students from L.D. Bell, Trinity, and KEYS
High Schools at the 2017 Awards of Excellence dinner.
What’s
happening
around the
district
Before a varsity basketball game in February, Trinity High School recognized Classic Chevrolet for
their generous support. Over the past six years, Classic Chevrolet has donated more than $225,000 to
support the students of Trinity High School!
In March, HEB ISD staff met with a delegation of social workers from Kyrgyzstan. The meeting was part of
a week-long trip hosted by the Mid-Cities Pacesetters Rotary Club.

The BCTEA Career Preparations students, along with an Engineering Practicum student taught by
Michael Skrynski, created a resource for all CTE studentsin HEB ISD. The BCTEA staff found a growing
need for proper interview clothing for students to use when interviewing for jobs as well as colleges.
These students collaborated and planned to create the CTE Career Closet.
