Board Recognition and Visual & Performing Arts Month
“ Super Heroes for Schools ”
Dual celebrations brought a fun atmosphere to the Pat May Center . The Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD Board of Trustees celebrated the visual and performing arts during a break in their January 11th meeting . Students and teachers displayed paintings , drawings , 3D artwork , ceramics , and more . Students from Bell Manor performed an excerpt from The Lion King , and elementary art teachers led the Board in a collaborative drawing activity .
Members of the Board of Trustees were also recognized as part of School Board Appreciation Month . District administrators recognized board members as superheroes driving the success of the school district , and gave trustees well wishes and tokens of appreciation from students and staff .
A huge thank you to everyone who participated : Mark Chandler for coordinating the Visual and Performing Arts exhibits ; Carri Chatfield , Scott Matula and Danielle Wells for the Van Gogh activity ; Allison King for providing our wonderful string quartet ; and Stacy Parker for allowing us to enjoy the incredible talent of our Bell Manor sixth graders .
