BGRIM starts COD of B . Grimm Power ( Laem Chabang ) 1 power plant
B . Grimm Power Public Company Limited ( BGRIM ) revealed that B . Grimm Power ( Laem Chabang ) 1 Company Limited ( BPLC1R ), which is a subsidiary of B . Grimm Power ( 100 % holding ), has opened a commercial operation . Commercial ( COD ) New Power Plant Project The installed capacity of 140 megawatts to replace the existing power plant . which has an installed capacity of 103 megawatts , starting to sell electricity to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand ( EGAT ). The BPLC1R project is located in Laem Chabang Industrial Estate . Chonburi has a power purchase agreement of 30 megawatts with EGAT for 25 years , and the remainder is a long-term power purchase and steam contract with industrial customers within the said industrial estates . The BPLC1R project is a combined cycle power plant project that replaces the existing power plant ( SPP Replacement ) that is commercially operated as the first project out of 5 projects with a total installed capacity of 700 megawatts . high efficiency It is expected that the combined cycle power plant project to replace the existing power plant will reduce the consumption of natural gas per unit by 15 %.
