It ’ s time to … Exchange What Matters !
The magazine you now hold in your hands ( or , more likely , read from your screen ) is 2022 ’ s final Heat Exchanger World issue . This year has seen incredible growth for our community and brand alike , with two more editions added to our magazine schedule since 2021 , a profusion of technical and knowledgesharing articles and culminating in our premier Heat Exchanger World Europe event ! This is a project that I and the whole Heat Exchanger World team are proud to work on , but it could not have been possible without the open and enthusiastic nature of you , the heat exchanger community . We are grateful for your willingness to share experiences , challenges , and new learning with the wider industry .
And now let ’ s meet ! This issue is to be distributed at both our European and American events – first in Rotterdam on 1 st & 2 nd November , and then in Pasadena , Texas on 16 th & 17 th November . Should you be joining us in Rotterdam , I very much hope to speak with many of you as we welcome you to our first Heat Exchanger World Conference & Expo on European soil . I wish you all a pleasant stay at either of our events , and trust your time spent networking with existing and prospective partners will be fruitful and enjoyable .
This magazine issue conveys the technical breadth of our contributors as we move from innovations in HVAC duct cleaning ( using robot technology ) on page 18 , to designing heat transfer equipment for hydrogen applications on page 23 , to explosion protection with organic heat transfer fluids on page 47 .
The November cover story looks to Ohmstede , one of the most trusted names in American manufacturing . My colleagues in Toronto spoke with Ohmstede ’ s Vice President of Sales & Marketing , Buddy Tucker , about the company ’ s legacy and its impressive 100-plus years of high-quality products and services . Read the full interview on pages 10-13 .
As 2022 draws to a close , I think we can all agree that it has been a year of diverse challenges , from local to global . But if there is a key takeaway from our experiences in 2020-2021 , it is surely the importance of community and how strong relationships can help us through troubled times . The upcoming Heat Exchanger events ( and in particular the European edition ) will finally enable our communities to engage face-to-face , to rekindle friendships and to grow stronger together as we head towards the coming year .
