The Bradford-based company , renowned for its high-integrity heat transfer and specialized pressure equipment , underwent rigorous assessments for Fit for Hydrogen ( F4H2 ) and Fit for Carbon Capture , Usage , and Storage ( F4CCUS ) schemes . This government-backed initiative ensures companies in the hydrogen and carbon capture supply chain meet customer requirements and maintain
high-quality standards . Securing both standards enhances Graham Hart ’ s appeal to customers engaged in regional , national , and global decarbonization projects . Managing Director Chris Hart views this achievement as pivotal , showcasing the company ’ s capability in serving the burgeoning hydrogen and carbon capture markets . Following a successful pilot in 2023 , F4H2 and F4CCUS have gained approval as extensions of the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre ’ s ( AMRC ) ‘ Fit for ’ model , further solidifying Graham Hart ’ s position as an industry leader in energy manufacturing .

The acquisition aims to fuel growth initiatives domestically and internationally , providing access to capital and expertise . It marks an exit for existing investors Caledonia Investments and Nova Capital . Celebrating its 120 th year in 2024 , Sterling TT has undergone successful transformation , enhancing efficiency , reliability , and decarbonization . Prashanta Dutta receives Donald N . Zwiep Innovation Award
Prashanta Dutta , a professor at Washington State University ’ s School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering , was honoured with the 2024 Donald N . Zwiep Innovation in Education Award by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers ( ASME ). The award acknowledges WSU ’ s pioneering efforts in crafting and distributing portable desktop learning modules . These modules offer students practical insights into core engineering concepts , particularly in fluid mechanics and heat transfer , through hands-on experiments . Developed since 2007 , these modules replicate industrial-scale equipment on a smaller scale , providing students with a tangible understanding of complex engineering principles . Funded by multiple National Science Foundation grants , these modules
have been integrated into engineering courses at over 50 universities nationwide , offering an affordable alternative to costly laboratory equipment . Dutta , alongside an interdisciplinary team including Bernard Van Wie , David Thiessen , and Olusola Adesope , has spearheaded the nationwide deployment of these modules , fostering enthusiasm and enhancing learning experiences for students in mechanical engineering .

Schoeller Werk GmbH & Co . KG is pioneering the use of green hydrogen , the future energy source . Their premium stainless steel tubes , resistant to hydrogen embrittlement and temperature fluctuations , are crucial in various applications , including fuel cells , industrial processes , and automotive sectors . TÜV Süd has certified Schoeller ’ s stainless steel tubes , including materials 1.4401 , 1.4404 , and 1.4435 , for both low and highpressure applications , up to 875 bar .
