SWEP partners with MCD to broaden heat exchanger portfolio
SWEP has announced a strategic partnership with Microchannel Devices( MCD) to expand its heat transfer offering. The collaboration adds MCD’ s printed circuit heat exchangers( PCHE) to SWEP’ s portfolio, complementing its brazed plate technology. Both companies focus on high-performance solutions that improve efficiency, reduce footprint, and support sustainable energy systems. The agreement enables SWEP to offer a wider range of products while giving MCD access to global markets through SWEP’ s established sales network. According to SWEP President Ulrika Nordqvist, the partnership strengthens market position and enhances customer service. Target areas include hydrogen infrastructure, energy storage, and CO2 applications, particularly where space, pressure, and temperature demands are extreme. Through a buy-resell model, customers gain seamless access to advanced, ultra-compact solutions backed by MCD’ s certified production capabilities, supporting innovation and growth for both companies.

Munters names Stefan Aspman as incoming CEO
Munters has announced a planned leadership transition, with President and CEO Klas Forsström set to step down after the Q3 2026 interim report. The Board has appointed Stefan Aspman, currently President of Data Center Technologies( DCT), as his successor. Chairman Magnus Nicolin praised Forsström’ s seven-year tenure, during which Munters doubled its net sales and strengthened its organization, talent base, and innovation capabilities. Aspman, a member of the executive team since 2021, has played a key role in driving growth— particularly in the DCT division, which has benefited from rising AI-driven data center demand. The Board cited Aspman’ s strong financial and operational expertise as critical for Munters’ next growth phase. He expressed confidence
in continuing the company’ s development in expanding climate control markets. Forsström will remain in an advisory role until the end of 2026 to support a smooth transition.
Alleima expands heating capacity to support industrial decarbonization
Alleima’ s Kanthal division has expanded its silicon carbide heating element facility in Perth, Scotland, to meet rising demand for sustainable high-temperature solutions. The upgraded site increases manufacturing space, adds new equipment, and boosts capacity for Globar ® heating elements, which enable electrification of processes up to 1,625 ° C, helping industries replace fossil fuels and reduce CO 2 emissions. Heavy industry accounts for nearly a quarter of global emissions, with high-temperature heating a major contributor. Growing regulatory pressure and climate targets are accelerating the shift toward cleaner technologies. Kanthal’ s investment, totaling about SEK 100 million, also includes a new service center in Concord, North Carolina, improving customer proximity and lead times. Together, the upgrades increase production capacity by around 40 % while enabling new product development, strengthening Kanthal’ s position in sustainable industrial heating and supporting global decarbonization efforts.
