Wood and Tubacex Group enter into global cooperation agreement
Tubacex Group , the global supplier of premium tubular solutions in advanced materials , has entered into a five-year cooperation agreement with global consulting and engineering company Wood . The agreement focuses on promoting the Tubacoat Technology in delayed coker furnaces and other refinery units aligning with the ambition of both companies to unlock reliable and proven solutions for the downstream and refinery sector . The Tubacoat Technology , developed by Tubacex Group , is based on tailor-made ceramic coatings that allow customers that are faced with severe fouling , coking , corrosion or abrasion challenges in harsh media and high temperature conditions to drastically improve their efficiency , reliability and productivity , while decreasing their environmental impacts . With this agreement Wood will use its engineering and
project execution expertise to deploy the Tubacoat Technology with Wood ’ s delayed coker technology SydecSM to further improve energy efficiency and availability for both existing and new units . Brian McCarthy , Vice President of Technology and Products at Wood , said : “ We are excited about this cooperation agreement . Wood is well positioned to deliver differentiated success by leveraging its embedded global project implementation capabilities , engineering , and technology , combined with Tubacoat technology , to offer anti-coking solutions for refinery fired heaters in delayed coker , crude distillation unit ( CDU ) and vacuum distillation unit ( VDU ) furnaces ”. Jesús Esmorís , CEO of Tubacex Group said “ We are pleased with this cooperation agreement . With ongoing initial project opportunities , the agreement has the potential to bring best of technologies from both companies to deliver impactful solutions to existing and new Delayed Coker and other refining units around the world . TUBACOAT tubes minimize formation , deposition and plugging due to coke / carbon in Delayed Coker and other refinery and petrochemical unit furnaces besides minimizing corrosion and thus improve unit reliability , life cycle , throughput and reduced carbon footprint ”.
ZILONIS provides tailored solutions for the chemical industry
Heat exchanger manufacturer , ZILONIS , recently completed a special project for the British multinational chemical company INEOS . The project involved the development and installation of a custom heat exchanger that had to be incorporated into INEOS ’ existing steel infrastructure . ZILONIS ’ team of experts worked closely with INEOS to design and construct a Benzene cut condenser , which is a specialized heat exchanger used in chemical manufacturing processes . The unit was specifically designed to meet INEOS ’ requirements and fit seamlessly into their existing infrastructure . After several weeks of intense collaboration and hard work , the ZILONIS team successfully installed the Benzene cut condenser into the steel structure at INEOS . This was a significant milestone for both companies , and ZILONIS is proud to have played a key role in the success of the project . “ We are pleased with the successful installation of the Benzene cut condenser at INEOS ,”
said a ZILONIS spokesperson . “ Our team of experts worked tirelessly to ensure that the heat exchanger was designed and constructed to meet INEOS ’ specific requirements . We are honored to have been selected for this project and look forward to working with INEOS on future projects .” The successful completion of the project is a testament to ZILONIS ’ commitment to innovation , quality , and customer satisfaction . ZILONIS continues to push the boundaries of heat exchanger technology and is dedicated to providing its customers with individualized solutions that meet their unique needs . In conclusion , ZILONIS has demonstrated its expertise and ability to meet the demanding needs of the chemical manufacturing industry with the successful installation of the Benzene cut condenser at INEOS . The company ’ s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction continues to position it as a key player in the heat exchanger market .
Hunt acquisition facilitates excellent service for energy company
Green ’ s , part of the Heat Exchange Group ( UK ), recently manufactured a replacement tube bundle for a large European energy company whose focus is on developing and producing conventional natural gas – the most environmentally friendly fossil fuel – providing approximately 60 % of its country ’ s natural gas consumption and 90 % of its gas production . Domestically produced natural gas is a key component of the country ’ s energy mix and is secure , reliable , and cost effective . |
This was the first time Green ’ s and this client had worked together and was made possible by Green ’ s acquisition of the Hunt Thermal Technologies IP , enabling key equipment and experienced members of the business to join Green ’ s . The U-tube bundle that forms part of the company ’ s methanol reboiler was a slightly unusual design . It had to be epoxy coated on the outside to extend its life . Previously it had been prone |

to failure after operating for a very short time because the company ’ s energy production process led to significant fouling issues , blocking the tubes and significantly effecting effciency . Fabrication was completed in Green ’ s factory in Wakefield on time and on budget with quality workmanship carried out by Green ’ s experienced and qualified team . It was then installed by the client ’ s in-house maintenance team . |
Managing director Matthew Crewe said : “ We have been asked by our client to work with them on an ongoing basis to help them keep their operations at optimal performance .” |
