Central Cold Facility Is Now Open In Conway, Arkansas
Ti Cold proudly announces the successful ribbon-cutting of the state-of-the-art Central Cold facility in Conway, Arkansas. This milestone marks the completion of a significant new asset for the region, which is now officially open for business. Spanning over 135,000 square feet, the facility features over 19,800 pallet positions, a 50-foot clear height, and temperature capabilities ranging from 40 ° F to-20 ° F. Strategically designed to meet the cold storage needs of Conway, Little
Rock, and surrounding areas, the facility offers easy access to major transportation routes via I-40, just 31 miles north of Little Rock— enhancing logistics for regional producers and processors. Central Cold will serve as a vital resource for manufacturers, processors, and suppliers that require temperature-controlled storage. The facility is expected to support up to 200 jobs, providing a substantial economic boost to the area.
AHI Carrier Toshiba New Zealand has announced a new leadership structure and growth strategy aimed at strengthening its position in the HVAC & R market, with a focus on sustainable innovation and energy efficiency. The initiative includes direct reporting to the company’ s global head office in Dubai and the appointment of Gary Felstead as General Manager. Felstead brings experience from leadership roles at Fujitsu and Daikin NZ and will lead efforts to enhance environmental performance, energy management, and customer satisfaction. Several new appointments have also been made to support this strategy. Shirli Talbot joins as Marketing and Events Manager, focusing on rebranding and
energy-efficient messaging. Simon Burridge takes the role of Business Development Manager, drawing on experience from ACSL and Fujitsu NZ. Krishneel Ram has been named Technical Sales Business Account Manager, bringing over 20 years of industry experience. Phil Annabell joins as Residential and Light Commercial Business Development Manager. As part of the expansion, four Totaline outlets have been integrated into operations to provide comprehensive HVAC solutions and aftermarket support. The company also plans to align with the global Carrier identity through a rebrand and introduce a new product lineup designed to meet evolving energy standards in New Zealand.
Chemours appoints Vet Nathan Blom as VP
The Chemours Company( Chemours) has announced the appointment of Nathan Blom as Vice President of its liquid cooling portfolio. Kanthal division & Danieli to supply electric process gas heater
Alleima’ s Kanthal division and Danieli will supply a pilot-scale
electric process gas heater to be installed at Emsteel’ s Direct
Reduced Iron( DRI) plant in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to electrify a part of their existing heating system. The heater is based on Prothal ® DH technology and will be the first electric process gas heater for DRI that Kanthal supplies for commercial use- an important step in the ongoing development project. Delivery is planned for the beginning of 2026. Emsteel is the UAE’ s largest steel and building materials manufacturer. The Emsteel plant in Abu Dhabi produces quality long products – heavy sections, bars, and wire rods – and features an
Energiron DRI plant. By installing a 1-megawatt size electric process gas heater, supplied by Kanthal and Danieli, the company will take another step towards making this low-emission plant even more environmentally friendly. Prothal ® DH has been developed and tested by Kanthal and is now being prepared for commercialization together with the strategic partner Danieli. When fully scaled up, this technology has the potential to completely remove the CO 2 emissions from the heating process while enhancing energy efficiency.
