Based on the successful GEA BluAstrum concept with project-specific configured and optimized heat exchangers , the GEA RedAstrum stands for reliability , low ammonia filling quantities and lowest space consumption . Its flexibility and efficiency make it suitable for a wide range of heating purposes . The GEA RedGenium heat pump transfers its heat output to a liquid heat transfer medium and delivers flow temperatures between + 55 and + 80 ° C for any industrial application requiring process heat or serving local or district heating networks .
Thanks to the wide temperature range available on the cold side between -10 and + 50 ° C , the GEA RedAstrum can utilize all possible heat sources - whether waste water , ground water , river or lake water or a secondary refrigerant ( coolant ) in the case of combined cooling and heating applications . Alternatively , a cascade heat exchanger is also available as an evaporator , with which hot ammonia gas can be fed directly from a refrigeration system and thus waste heat can be used particularly efficiently . hexonic . com
