Community Investment. It’s the Cooperative Way. As a cooperative, giving back is important to FCS Financial. We are invested in the communities we serve and want to see them succeed, grow and thrive. Our local offices provide support in various ways throughout the year. The FCS Financial office in Nevada donated official jackets to the FFA Chapters in their service area of Cedar, Vernon and Barton counties. We are certain the jackets will be worn with pride as each student learns to lead through FFA. In this picture, FCS Financial’s Aubrey Elkinton (far left) and Brandi Gaines (far right) present jackets to the Northeast Vernon County FFA Chapter. Blair Oaks High School in Wardsville, Mo., launched an ag education and FFA program during the 2017-2018 school year. The FCS Financial Jefferson City office donated to the Friends of Blair Oaks FFA to support the newly formed program. We wish them luck and success as they begin their FFA experience. Pictured from left accepting the donation: Sydney Nivens, Historian, Kayla Lackman, President, Curtis Fischer, FCS Financial, and Emily Yaeger, Reporter. Last year, The FCS Financial Rural Community and Agriculture Foundation granted $10,000 to the Andrew County Youth Foundation for the construction of a Youth and Community Building on the fairgrounds. On June 18, a grand opening ribbon cutting was held. The building provides a facility where more than 450 youth and 900 adults from throughout the area can participate in year round activities. Following the ribbon cutting, the Andrew County 4-H/FFA Project Day occurred where Clare Staley, daughter of FCS Financial’s Matt Staley gave a demonstration of her 4-H Sand Art project.
