Congham Hall Hotel

When you first pull into the driveway,
Congham Hall looks like any other
Traditional country house hotel.
Inside the Georgian manor house,
which is mere miles away from the
Queen’s Sandringham Estate, you are
greeted by grand fireplaces and rows
of wellington boots but you can forget
frilly valances and fussy interiors - the
hotel’s 26 rooms are nothing short of
stylish, with bold prints, contemporary
fabrics, deep stone baths and monsoon
showers. If you’re lucky enough to bag
a garden room, you’ll find your hotel
haven opens up onto a little patio, too.
Aside from their insanely comfy beds,
what really makes Congham Hall
special is its spa. Situated in a pretty
little building away from the hotel
– within hopping distance from the
garden rooms – the small, intimate spa
offers a wide range of reasonably priced
treatments as well as a hydro-pool, hot
tub, experience showers, sauna and
steam room. Hotel guests get earlier
access to the facilities than spa visitors,
so when we were there we had the
place to ourselves for an hour before
breakfast. Divine.
