CERULEAN SPLASH
Swimming in the simplicity of seaside shades
Life by the sea has a distinctive draw to
it, don’t you think? There’s something
incredibly appeasing about the rhythmic
lapping of waves against the shore, the
salty sea air blowing through your hair as
you saunter through the sand. I often feel at
my calmest when I’m near the sea and will
happily walk for hours to find little-known
coves and beaches whenever I’m lucky
enough to find myself at the coast. Perhaps
it’s the simplicity of the natural elements
that frees up the mind to let memories and
colour inspiration stick; the refreshingly
rudimentary trio of sun, sand and sea is a
far cry from hectic buzz of city life where
a thousand sensory experiences perpetually
shout for your attention.
FARMHOUSE DINING
Jonquil yellow painted dining chairs, a
distressed wooden table, painted blue
doors and a chandelier handmade
from iron with blue beading detail lend
homespun, rustic charm to the dining area
of Javier Requejo’s Spanish farmhouse.
