“Women Empowering Women”

Hidden Figures
, an inspiring story that changed
the face of America was an exemplary work of art. I am sure that as many sat and
watched the movie or read the book different opinions evolved behind the true
meaning of the story line. Some may argue the movie was about four black
women fighting to tear down the walls of segregation. Others may argue the movie
was about the inequalities that all women faced during that era. There may be a
few that might argue the movie was about the beauty of the mind or how important
STEM education is for our future. What I felt as I read the book, and as I watched
the movie was all the above and a little more. I reveled the feeling of women
empowering women.
Gender inequality is still very prevalent and can become overbearing and
discouraging for many women. What is more concerning is the inequality and
injustice we as women show to one another. Together we as women are a force to
be reckoned with. The knowledge and skills we possess together can create a
balance that I would like to think most women desire. The 2017 Women March on
