Human Trafficking is defined as the action or practice of illegally
transporting people from one country or area to another, typically for the purposes
of forced labor or commercial sexual exploitation. Unfortunately many girls and
young women fall victim to this horrible lifestyle by false pretenses. For some, the
promise of a job; a place to live; food and family/friends, is the way to lure them
in. Common victims are those that have run away from home, are a part of the
foster care system, illegal aliens and kidnapped victims. The circumstance
surrounding human trafficking and how it can be prevented is the foundation in
which the Imperial Lady Brand was founded on in 2015. The name is a result of
the founder’s status as the 2016 Mardi Gras Queen representing the first all female
Mardi Gras Krewe to grace the streets of Jefferson Parish and the first member of
the Krewe’s Royal Society.
The mission of this brand is to offer resources to at risk and underprivileged
young ladies to reduce the cycle of falling victim to human trafficking. With the
