What different opportunities did the success of that song create for you as a singer and writer?
I started getting shows like crazy I was booked every week and I took that buzz and got on the cover of Scoop Magazine which took my shows from a show or two a week to multiple shows in a day ive been blessed to travel and perform at EVERY college in the state and in EVERY club at the age of 19. The writing opportunities didn’t come till well after I was doing my own thing.
With the R&B scene from the 90s and early 2000s, what is something you to see come back into music?
I just would love to hear REAL VOCALIST in the spotlight again I’m so deep rooted in R&B and the fact 90’s singers could actually sing that’s one major thing we are missing in today’s R&B.
What is something R&B has today that it didn't have back then during that time frame?
The beats are totally different so many singers singing over rap beats you barely ever hear real musicianship on the beats but what is great is that R&B has evolved into being able to do more than just those slow begging for your love type joints lol. Also R&B today has me lo live studied “back then” which is what makes me who I am musically “today”.
