The Walk and Talk program is an 8 week long lesson series provided by the Better Living for Texans and the Walk Across Texas programs that incorporates the importance of increasing physical activity along with increasing fruits and vegetables intake into their diet. During each session, BLT Assistant Amanda Villarreal and participants spoke about the nutrition facts of either a fruit or a vegetable and included recipes and food demonstrations. Participants took home written information with helpful tips and facts about healthy eating and were encouraged to keep track of their physical activity during the 8 weeks.
