As students start becoming young adults it is always good for them to learn about the health services that are out there for them. We want them to be well informed about where and how they can apply for those services provided. Health care costs are at an all time high and everyone needs to take advantage of those health care services. Students received information about dental care, diabetes, mental health care services, drug, alcohol abuse and among others.
*Right, Students did a few exercises to have a chance to win a few incentives. Students learned about combining a healthy diet with the right amount of physical activity.
We also want students to learn about the different career opportunities that are out there for them. Among some of those agencies providing career information were Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, U.S. Border Patrol, Workforce Solutions of South Texas, Laredo Community College, Texas A&M Kingsville, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Texas A&M Health Careers and many more.
Texas A&M AgriLife would like to thank everyone involved who helped organize this incredible event together for the Zapata High School students.
