BERRY PROTEIN SMOOTHIE
By Chef Kate | Serves 2 generous portions
1 cup/130 grams frozen raspberries
1 cup/150 grams frozen strawberries, cut in half
½ cup yogurt or coconut yogurt
1 – 2 tablespoons honey or stevia (to taste)
2 tablespoons protein powder
Tip
Add a handful of kale,
spinach or silverbeet
(chard) and 1 – 2
tablespoons of other
nutritional boosters
like spirulina, maca or
raw cacao powder.
1 teaspoon acai powder (optional)
1½ cup/375 ml coconut milk or milk of choice
2 teaspoons melted coconut oil or chia seed oil (optional)
1 Place all the ingredients in the blender and blend on
high for 1 – 2 minutes until well combined.
If needed add a little more liquid and
sweetener and blend again.
2 Serve immediately or refrigerate until needed up
to 24 hours. You can also freeze some smoothie
mixture in ice cube tray to make frozen treats or
use in future smoothies.
