Don’t Miss Out On The Fun Try These
Chocolate Crinkle Cookies…
You can find this delicious chewy
chocolate crinkle cookie recipe at
www.BettyCrocker.com One reader in the
comments section under this recipe, stated that
this is the same recipe her 86 year old mother
had been using for years from her circa 1963 “Betty Crocker’s Cooky
Book”. Now that’s a fun fact, and just goes to show, “If it ain’t broke,
don’t fix it!”
Ingredients for Betty Crocker’s Chocolate Crinkles
½ cup vegetable oil
4 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup powdered sugar
1. In a large bowl mix the oil, chocolate, and vanilla. Add the eggs one
at a time. Mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover and
refrigerate at least 3 hours.
2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
3. Roll the dough into balls and coat with the powdered sugar. Place
onto cookie sheet and bake 10-12 minutes.
You might notice that this month the name of the column was
changed from “Healthy Talk” to “Cookie Talk”. It’s just a temporary
change in honor of National Cookie Month and to get a chance to share
this wonderful recipe from Betty Crocker. Next month you will find this
column is back to normal. Enjoy this recipe!
