International Magic Week
The Society of American Magicians
proclaimed the week of October 25 to October 31
as National Magic Week throughout the US and
Canada. The timing of the week of celebration
was intended to coincide with the death of
legendary magician Harry Houdini. Not only is
the week a celebration of all things magic-related,
but it is also used as an opportunity to highlight
the charitable work that the Society does
throughout the year.
They promote the Art of Magic by
performing shows at orphanages, hospitals, and
nursing homes for those who would normally
