Through one of the busiest and stressful work periods ever, I kept a promise to myself: Exercise without excuses. This has to be a lifelong habit because, let’s face it, I’m not getting any younger!

With my 50th birthday on the horizon in June 2025, I'm driven more than ever. My aim? To be in the best shape of my life by 50. To get my body closer to my sculpty goal, I know consistency is key - I've got to achieve my 4 day a week lifting habit goal CONSISTENTLY. But, it's not just lifting, I will also be working to add in those two days of zone 2 cardio workouts. It's a lofty goal, but I'm committed.

I’m proud, feeling stronger, and loving the journey, even though I'm still far from my sculpty dream. But that’s just more motivation to keep doing the thing.

So how about you? Are you ready to tackle your exercise goals this month? Remember, it's not about perfection; it's about progress. Let's lift, run, ride, walk—whatever gets us moving. Let’s do it together. Remember, every rep counts, and so does every step you take towards a healthier you.

Let's get exercising and celebrate every victory along the way. You ready? Because I sure am!

Let's Do the Thing!

It's exercise month again, and boy, do I have updates for you! As some of you might remember, I recommitted to becoming a steadfast exerciser this past season. The journey? Well, it’s been both challenging and incredibly rewarding.

I set out with the ambitious goal of hitting our garage gym four days a week. Reality check— I made that mark about three times. However, I've consistently managed to lift 2-3 times a week over the last three months. And guess what? Each session has seen me getting a bit stronger, lifting a bit more weight, or squeezing out an extra rep or two.

I’m not just lifting weights; I’m lifting my spirits and reshaping my body, which is pretty thrilling after an unplanned 10-pound gain last year. It’s a slow transformation, but when I catch my reflection flexing in the mirror—those biceps and legs definitely have more muscle than they did four months ago.
