What’s something small that lights you up or something you’ve missed and want to bring back? Whether it’s lighting a candle or weekly date nights, write it down.
Perhaps crate a Joy Habit Tracker, like I did, and track these daily and weekly joy activities. Refer to your list daily and weekly to remind you, and then plan when and how you will implement them. This isn’t about perfection. For me, the more checks on my Joy Tracker, the richer my days feel.
Because we're focusing on rest this month, it’s the perfect opportunity to weave these joy-filled activities into your life. Imagine ending your day with a heart a little fuller and your soul a little lighter.
So, take some time this month to identify and schedule those joy-sparking activities. You might just find that by the month’s end, you’re not only well-rested but also overflowing with joy.
Now, "may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." (Romans 15:13)
Looking forward to a joyful, restful August with all of you!
With Love, Katrina

August is here, and it's all about rest. But let's take rest a step further—how about we blend some joy into our rest this month?
A few years ago, life was super heavy. It was tough, and honestly, I was skimping on rest and joy. I knew something had to change, so I created what I call a 'Joy List'. It's simple—I just wrote a list of things that sparked joy for me. My list had about 10-15 activities, from taking a daily photo, enjoying a yummy dinner with my family, and a Saturday adventure or hike.
Think of this Joy List as your mini-guide to sprinkle joy throughout your days. These aren’t just fun activities; they’re your personal rest stops - moments that refresh and recharge you.
This month, why not make your own Joy List?
