Since exams week is just around the corner, students would do well to take advantage of the semester’s lull moments to prepare one’s self for the coming “storm”. Exams week—most commonly known as Hell Week (for obvious reasons)—can indeed be stressful. Aside from numerous tests, Hell Weeks are also the times when majority of the requirements for classes are due.
Stress or the experience of being stressed out is something that most students can relate to. Although the human body is designed to adapt to stress, constant and intense stress may still have detrimental effects on health . Headaches, stomach aches, high blood pressure, insomnia—these are some of the negative effects of being stressed out . To help you cope with the stress and (hopefully) breeze through your exams and class requirements, we’ve listed down some of the most basic but most effective tips:

1. Maintain a Healthy Diet
Eating healthy obviously has its health benefits, and combating stress is one of them. By eating three balanced meals per day, your energy level is improved. Improved energy levels would enable the body effectively deal with stress and prevent its negative side-effects from occurring. This enhances your ability to concentrate and therefore enables you to perform well in class.
