It's not easy sticking with a workout routine. Especially when there are so many excuses: too tired, not enough time, boardom, etc. You have to overcome those obstacles in order to keep active. So we have some tips for you to jump over those barriers and keep active.
1. I don't have enough time to exercise!
Finding time in your busy day can be difficult. But it's not too hard to find ways to fit in small amounts of excerise!
-Slip in short little workouts during the day. If you find that you don't have time for a whole 6o minute workout, don't worry. Stick in little exercises here and there. Take the stairs instead the the elavator or escalator, take a gym class at school, get involved with a sports team.
-Drive less, walk more. Walk to school if you can. If you are driving park farther away so you have a longer walk.
-Wake up earlier. I know it sounds horrible but you will thank yourself for it. It will wake you up and make you feel more energized and ready to conquer the day.
2. I think exercise is boring...
It's normal to get bored of the same old workout everyday, but switch things up!
-Choose activities you enjoy. If you pick something that you actually like then you will probably have more fun and be getting a workout without realizing it.
-Switch things up. Rotate all your favourite activities that you enjoy doing such as swimming, running, biking, etc. This way you will still have fun will working out without getting bored.
-Meet up with others. Exercise with friends, relatives, neighbors or school peers. You will enjoy the company and enjoy yourself more. Maybe even forget that you are working out!

Everybody is different. Everybody has different body shapes. You are definitely not the only one struggling with self-consciousness. Pick
yourself back up and work that body.
-Avoid the crowd. If you're uncomfortable exercising around others, go by yourself at first. Try an exercise video. Or consider begging your parents to buy you a stationary bicycle, treadmill, eliptical or other piece of home exercise equipment.
-Focus on the future. Pat yourself on the back for staying committed. As you get more fit your self confidence will improve as well.
4. I'm too tired to exercise after work/school...
Everybody has felt this way. Too tired to do anything. But without physical actvity you won't feel energized. But if you are active you will have more energy. It is a cycle.
