Lexington Abounds with
Spring Allergies

Springtime in Lexington can be
a blessing or a curse, depending on
whether you are an allergy sufferer or
not. Lexington often has one of the
highest pollen counts in the nation
in any given year. It was named the
worst allergy city in 2008 by the
Asthma and Allergy Foundation of
America after recording a pollen
count of 100, which means there was
a daily average of 300 grains of pollen
per cubic meter polluting the air.
Increasing climate change is
expected to worsen things for allergy
sufferers in Lexington, according to
