You know, it feels as if just a few
weeks ago we were digging our
way out of another snowfall and
wondering if warmer weather would
ever arrive. Even I, a confessed lover
of the white stuff, was starting to feel
a little stir crazy. Now I’m sitting here
gazing at my blooming irises. It took
its time getting here but summer has
made it.
As Dr. John Patterson writes in his
column, there are so many wonderful
health benefits of summer, from the
sunshine and vitamin D, to the fresh
food that is available at local markets.
This is the time to truly make the
most of the weather. Walk to the
store. Bike around the neighborhood.
Sit by the pool with a good book.
